Jesus makes a living doing make-up and styling for a troupe of transvestites in Havana, but his dream is to be in the limelight. When they finally get their chance to be on stage, a stranger comes out of the crowd and hits them. The stranger is his father, Angel, a former boxer, absent from Jesus’ life for 15 years. As Jesus and Angel clash over their different expectations, VIVA turns into a tender love story between a father and son who struggle to understand each other in order to become a family again.
