Lucas is 13 years old and confined to a wheelchair after an accident. Lais, 12 years old, helps his mother who sells food in a truck parking lot in the small town where they live. The girl would like to meet her father, a driver who abandoned her and her mother when she was little. Lais and Lucas become friends at school, and after finding out where she can find her father, the two embark on a journey with an uncertain ending.
